What is Sulala Animal Rescue? 

Sulala Animal Rescue Center is the ONLY animal rescue center within the Gaza strip. Started by Saeed Al Err, Sulala Animal Rescue rescues and rehabilitates stray animals in Gaza, by providing them food, saving them from dangerous situations, providing trained medical help, vaccinations, and spaying treatment, and providing them a safe shelter and home.

How does your donation reach Sulala Animal Rescue in the occupation in Gaza? 

 According to their most recent update on their instagram, Sulala Animal Rescue, same as every civilian in Gaza right now, is victim to the Israeli blockades of vital aid trucks trying to provide the people of Gaza the supplies needed to survive and stay alive. Therefore, it is really difficult to get any aid purchased with donations into Gaza while the occupation is in place, which means both animals and the people that care for them are at risk of starvation, malnutrition, and death. 

However, the organization works to try to get any aid they can to their partners working in Gaza to help keep these stray dogs, cats, donkeys, etc. alive. Any donations they are unable to use in the moment will be KEY to helping the rescue center regrow after the occupation ends. 

While purchasing a Melon Bean for Palestine Sticker is a way to help us help Sulala Animal Rescue, you can also help get their essential aid by calling for a ceasefire, emailing your local govt. officials, and learning more from Palestinian voices within Gaza.
