Meet our Sloth Models
This year, we get to introduce you to our sloth models before the event! If you are a follower of The Sloth Institute, like I am, you've seen these girls all over the group's social media feeds.
Meet Hannah and Sabrina!
Two rescue baby two-fingered sloths currently being rehabilitated by The Sloth Institute. Let's learn a little about them!
Baby Sabrina was found after she fell from her mother one late night during a beach party at Playa Matapalo. The people at the party found her and brought her home to keep her safe and called The Sloth Institute for help. TSI tried to reunite her with her mother twice, the night she was found and the next morning. However, she would not take the baby back. Sabrina was distraught and cried a lot the first few days in TSI's care; but, thankfully, she gave promising signs when she drank a lot of milk on her first night at the rescue center.
Shortly after, she was paired with a cuddle buddy, Hannah, to keep her warm and give her a pal to cling to while she adjusts to the rescue life. Now, she is a spunky little sloth with lots of attitude, a full, growing belly, and high standards for the perfect milk to drink.

Baby Hannah was brought to TSI on April 13th, 2026. She was very ill and weak, and in desperate need of urgent care. Upon her first check up, the vet team discovered she was struggling with diarrhea, hair loss, skin infections, and pneumonia. Her conditions demanded 24/7, intense care, but the sloth team did not give up. Today, she is improving day by day and week by week. While she is not fully in the clear, her recovery looks brighter everyday.
