Sir Bean's Postcard Adventure Begins in New York City!!!!!

In the fall of 2024, I decided to try out my Sir Bean Postcard Adventure for the very first time, in a new city I had never visited before. I brought 50 postcards with me and hid them all throughout the Manhattan and Brooklyn neighborhoods. I had never done anything like this before, so I was not sure what to expect... and the responses were ASTOUNDING!!!! Roughly 50-60% of the postcards I hid, I heard back from their new owners! I had not expected such a huge and beautiful response to the challenge. I never really expect to hear back, it is an exercise in creating and letting go and allowing what I put into the world to be put in the hands of fate and the world around me. But, to hear back was an incredible surprise!

I was able to visit New York City again in February 2025, to showcase my short film, Afternoon Snack, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Kid's Film Festival, hosted in the BAM theatres! And, with me, I brought another set of 50 postcards to hide in Brooklyn!

After this second trip, New York City officially became the FIRST city to have 100 Sir Bean Postcards hidden within it! And today, as of Fall 2025, it still stands as the city with the highest response rate on postcards found :) I hope the postcard adventures continue in NYC in the future!
