Sir Bean's Postcard Adventure

Sir Bean's Postcard Adventure is an ongoing project where JP, the artist behind Sir Bean, doodles and writes on recycled postcards, and then hides them about any city or town they visit! The goal is to bring little bits of comfort and warmth into a stranger's day :)

Sir Bean's SoCal Postcard Adventure: Los Angeles & Orange County

Sir Bean's Postcard Adventure moves to Los Angeles, California, U.S.A (with a brief detour to Orange County)!

In the late spring 2025, 50 Sir Bean postcards made their way across Los Angeles, from Hawthorne to Culver City, La Brea to Hollywood, Inglewood to Little Tokyo, and more!

I was able to visit Los Angeles to showcase my short film, Afternoon Snack, at the Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival, hosted on the UCLA campus! Of Course, I HAD to bring a set of Sir Bean postcards with me, many of which ended up scattered about the campus.

I took a day to drive through southern Orange County as well, and left 10 postcards at different stops on my drive, from Dana Point Harbour, to San Juan Capistrano, Mission Viejo, Costa Mesa, and Irvine!

I caught my first glimpse of seeing someone find a postcard in real time :D it was so exciting to see!

Check out Sir Bean's LA/OC Postcard Adventure Recap on Instagram!
AND check out these highlights and pictures people sent to Sir Bean upon finding a postcard!

Can't wait to come back to Los Angeles and continue the Postcard fun!

Cheers!
